A Holiday Appeal

Since WAPI Community Services opened its doors to Seattle’s youth in 1993, we have become a second home where judgment, discrimination, and gang affiliations are set aside. Our mission is to provide and advocate for culturally competent and age-appropriate prevention and substance abuse treatment services for Asian Pacific Islander Youth and all Youth of Color.  Through our mission, we create an environment where respect, knowledge, and creativity flow through our organization.

In the past five years alone, we have served over 3,300 youth through our drug counseling and prevention programs. These programs focus on cultural competence and leadership to increase awareness on substance abuse and social justice issues in an effort to help youth make an educated decision about being clean and sober. Additionally, we engage our youth in self-expression through music and art.  In November, we launched our first Katalyst campaign, showcasing the music and art created by our participants at a kick-off party held at Neumo’s in Capitol Hill.

At this time, we ask you to consider a year-end contribution to support the general operations of WAPI as we continue to serve OUR community.

Please consider a contribution of $30, $50, $100 or more this holiday season.  As an added bonus for the holidays, if you donate more than $30, you will receive a free download of our new Katalyst album. If you donate more than $50, you will receive a free download plus our youth designed Mixed Masses T-shirt!  You can listen to the album here and the tshirt design is right here:

We would like to greet you Happy Holidays and hope you have a wonderful new year!
